Highlighting Work Health and Safety month

This month we have decided to focus on Work Health and Safety  within the Blue Iris Community Library. We are asking members to be aware of any hazards or concerns particularly relating to use of any of the multimedia technologies and services available within the library.   Please report any concerns or issues to staff immediately as member and staff safety is paramount to providing a high level of service to all our members.

"The Bear and the Nightingale" - Book promotion

Please take the time to watch a quick animated clip featuring one of the new fiction titles,  "The Bear and the Nightingale" by Katherine Arden, on promotion this week:

We have new Switches!

Here at Blue Iris Community Library we have been lucky enough to acquire two new Nintendo Switch consoles. We have therefore developed a "How to Guide" designed to assist members wanting to connect the consoles to our existing television monitors.  If you are unsure about this process at all or have any other queries regarding multimedia set up within the library, please don't hesitate to approach a staff member. HAPPY GAMING!

Computer Usage in the Blue Iris Community Library

We are so glad that here at Blue Iris Community Library there has been an increase in member use of our computers and related technology. Due to this increase we would ask customers to please take the time to review the library policy regarding access to the computer resources.  Acceptable Usage of Computers in the Library: No food or drinks to be consumed please.  Children must be supervised by a guardian while using the computer. Please be respectful of others. Please don't change the computer settings. Please view appropriate "G" rate material while using the computer. Please treat all library equipment with proper care. The staff at Blue Iris Community Library would like to thank all members for their continued support regarding this matter.
